Spring Beauty Savers
If you're like me, your skin, nose, ears, sinuses, and pretty much everything are having a hard time adjusting to the weather as it transitions from winter cold to spring warmth. Here are some things that will help your body and your beauty regime cope.
I like to use Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask to absorb some of the shine on my oily skin. It's a really good spot treatment for problem pimples too.
Right now I'm in the market for a new foundation--one that will keep the oil at bay and keep me from breaking out while still giving me a natural, glowing look. I think I'm going to try Maybelline's Pure Makeup and the matching concealer. The foundation is 50% water, so it's free of oils that usually break me out and the concealer has salicylic acid in it so it can double as a daytime spot treatment. It seems like it's a more reasonably priced version of a Clinique concealer that's very similar. I used to use Neutrogena's Skin Clearing foundation in high school and I'm considering going back to that as well. Hmm...we'll see.
Speaking of concealer, NYX has a potted concealer (they're hard to find in drugstores...in other words, potted ones are usually expensive) that I think I'm going to try for under eye. Neutrogena has a promising looking one called 3 in 1 concealer for eyes.
Of course we've got to make sure that we're shaved and ready for leg baring dresses and shorts on the first 80 degree day. Skintimate has a new shaving cream that's supposed to be really moisturizing ( Skintimate Moisturizing Cream Shave). I'll get some and do a review on it. I LOVE the Soleil line of razors because they come in such pretty colors! I've got the lavender ones ( those that know me won't think that's a surprise lol).
I would love to try this Kiss My Face Cold and Flu Shower Gelon days that I'm severely stuffed up due to hay fever. It seems like a really interesting idea...I just don't know if I want to smell like Vick's Vapor Rub ( because that's what I imagine it smells like) for the rest of the day. I guess that's another review that I can do.
